Took this while on my way to Suntec City, at the WWII Memorial Park. Lots of pigeons were settling down there, not sure what's going on. Moment of inspiration: I saw this and took it.

D60, Ai 28mm f/2.8, Manual Exposure, 1/60s f/5.6, ISO 100

One thing I like about my Nikons, they work no matter how old they are. A 2008 camera with a 1980 lens, and wow! Ok no metering, but with digital and doing landscape, who cares?

My lens is like this one:

Nikon D60, Ai 43-86mm f/3.5, manual exposure, ISO 400, exposure unrecorded.

This is the much maligned 43-86mm, said to be one of those lenses that even Nikon executives would apologize for the poor optical performance. Also said is that the late models had been redesigned but still under performs compared to modern lenses.

Mine is a late model, so it should be the better of the 43-86mm. Again a lens from circa 1980 with a 2008 camera, what can I say about compatibility? Manual focus is not so fun, though.

I don't think the performance is bad at all.
