actually, quite certainly grey set. But honestly, as long as they honour their warranty and it works, I'm fine. 
Hope nothing goes wrong! I went down and got the following:

Lens extension tube
Polarised filter (MC and circular)
All in I paid $480.

And I tried to search HWZ but not good at searching... 1 isn't allowed cos less than 3 char. haha.
I've heard "something" about Vision1 but let's be fair on this ground here...
If the deal is really good, with no hidden cost or whatsoever, comes by default stuff like local warranty, battery and neck strap without costing extra, then I suppose it's fine...
Whether the shop will throw in freebies such as memory card, screen protector, tripod, case, etc, is really up to the shop and none of Canon's business... For all you know, $770 is really just the bare set but if you want other things in, they might charge you a "package" price for the so-call freebies...
Else if not, if it's really $770 for a local warrantied set with freebies, "tan teo liow loh!"...

ok. i forgot to ask whether is it complete set when i heard its $770net (w/ gst) + 2GB SD card. So the original items should come with is the neckstrap (has Canon logo printed?), Local warranty, Battery, Softwares (how many CD?), manual (how many?), leaftlets (how many?), is there a pouch? and anything else missing?
why sad? for me, my money was well spent! i'm really proud of my G9, loving it dearly :lovegrin:
anyway, i just came from my vacation, took a LOT of (with my standard) awesome pictures and videos from this baby.. how about sharing them a bit? hope you don't mind :bsmilie:

how about attaching any ND filter with this one? i often forgot to turn on the built-in ND filter and now i crave for a real ND filter (if somehow can be attached with G9).. so it'd could deal with the over-exposure sky problem like in the picture below

yeah it's actually somewhere in that region, which was on north of slovenia, near austrian borders.. yeah they didn't come, though i heard some children singing Do-Re-Mi on a distance.. :sweatsm: well maybe only a jet lag hehehe

Mounting a fish-eyes lens shouldn't be a problem... There are various type of lenses that the G9 can mount with.
Here's mine with the tele-converter lens with Speedlite 380EX:
