I agree with sis coalfox. The 4G SDHC already cost so much plus they give all the extras....its definitely worth it.

You could go to AP, MS or CP buy the G9 and purchase the other needed freebies, it may be cheaper. Make sure the SDHC card is Class 4 and not Class 2.

Side Issue,
Pls be aware of LCD "light leak" issue.
Put in the charged battery & take SD card from camera, press the preview function.
Go the dark room, usually,you will see the "light leak" coming from LCD bottom right corner.
But this issue will not affect the photo taken.
Just to make this clear... the discoloration on the LCD screen is also visible
when the LCD screen is turned ON WHEN YOU'RE TAKING A PICTURE (when object is dark on bottom right corner),
as well as when the screen is dark and reads "No Pictures/Memory Card."
If happens to have this issue & Not happy, just send to Canon Service centre to adjust.

I was at AP SLS yesterday to buy my G9 and asked about dead pixels, LCD light leak, etc. issues before handing over my cash. The information I got was that the LCD panel issues belonged to 2 batches ago that got sold. Current batch sold by AP no longer carries these problems.
Being skeptical, I asked for a thorough test of the LCD and the AP guy patiently shot a full white background and a black one. He then proceeded to a max zoom in and scrolled around the screen to try and catch dead pixels. Glad to report no issues! I did the LCD light leak test just now and also happy to find no issue either.
For those interested in getting a G9, my serial number starts with "50411". This should serve as a guide when buying.

Just got it today at $810 with the standard free gift (2gb card, canon mini bag,
mini tripod & cleaning kit) plus a 3rd party battery & a screen protector that don't
really cover the whole screen.
***Note: As what Mino said, I checked the LCD display preview w/o the card, found
that there's some light leak at the bottom right corner. Is it possible for me to bring
the cam back to the shop & changed it?? Pls advised... thanks.
