Purchased a G9 from AP this evening. It comes with 2GB LEXAR SD card free. The offer is cheaper than that in HK without 7% GST. It took me almost an hour exploring the display set (brand new) before taking the plung.

As HK offers is without the 7% GST, I thinks the offer for G9 in Singapore is relatively cheaper than in HK and remember it comes with local warranty.

I saw there are about 10+ sets left in the shop.

Went to MS since they're the first to respond by getting back to me as soon as the set arrives in the shop. Best price I've checked so far. They got 5 sets. 3 reserved. I just couldn't resist after waiting for about 2 months for it. So I jump the gun, took emergency leave from work just to go and get it
Didn't get the designated case though which I should. Maybe I'll get it tomorrow. Its hard to find a case that will fit nicely since its hung by 2 sides unlike my previous Ixus.

Apart from the Canon designated leather case for the G7/9, wat other case can anyone recommend for it? Something from Lowepro perhaps? That'll fit nicely without being too cumbersome? Thank you.

my only nitpick about this camera is probably the horseshoe mount.. why cant they make it fully silver.. hate the black paint (likewise on the dslr.. except for a few models with silver horseshoe mount)

srape it off lo. i did that to my 30D because the paint once block the flask contact and i thought my flash die . lol

Think the Canon promo now is only the 2G card free. Unless you know the shop well, dun think there's any extras.

con't to post more bout ur G9 cam will be interested to read- from here sounds good!
cause i'm a canon fan always interested in canon cam stuff-planning to buy a S5 by the end of the year.
