yeah, got one lowepro pouch.. 30 bucks.
I settled for the Crumpler 1 million $ home. Not too cramp. Still got space for batts and mem cards and others.
AP selling how much?
Visited SLS this afternoon. Many shops are selling $750 before GST, except 1 shop , selling $700. All of them come with the standard package , 2GB , standard charger, battery, no bag.
If compare A650 IS vs G9 :
a) beside A650 has face detection , G9 doesn't ,
b) other G9 features like 1024x768 movie clips, raw,hot shoe, len thread, SDHC.
Is it worth to pay extra for G9 if excludes the features above ? Any comment ?

G9 got face detection lah. http://www.dpreview.com/news/0708/07082005canong9.asp "A new Face Select and Track function enables the user to manually select and track an individual face from up to 35 faces detected in frame."

Charged my batt and did a quickie indoor shot this morning... selected auto-ISO (which it promptly decided on ISO 200).. here's a re-sized pic plus cropping.. no other edits.

nice dog you got there.
from a technical point of view, it looks a little blurring of details at ISO200 for the 100% crop pic.. :think:
but it is definitely v.usable for printing at 4R and maybe up to 8R.

yeah.. one thing tho', he wasn't really keepin' still.. was pretty flustered by the thunder.. heh....
Anyone tested the battery life yet? Mine seems to be out pretty fast. i sure hope its due to battery not break in yet couple with some shots with both LCD and Flash and also for the fact that I've been fiddling with it non stop. Only managed about 50+ shots per charge. 
Anyone using the 3rd party battery? Hows the performance? Which one should I go for, 3rd party or original battery? Thanx.

Hi, purchased the G9, immediately took it for testing at botanical garden. However, seems to have overexosure. Any advice why this is so/ Set everything to auto.
Tried to get case for G9, not provided. What would you recommend?
Also bought the 2.5zoom vitacon, as canon telelens was too large. Anyone bought this and what is your experience? Thanks.
