Fujifilm X100T , the Thrill of Control & the Passion for Shooting

so existing x100/s users who want to upgrade to the x100T, how ? is it worth to get the preorder ? if street price for the x100T without those freebies is at least $300 cheaper, maybe the preorder is not that worth.

I'm keeping my X100S and will wait for the firmware update which I believe will bring it up to the same performance as the X100T. This probably will be the last major firmware update for the S if I'm not guessing wrongly.

Same optics , same sensor but improved LCD, EVF and handling isn't enough justification for me to fork out another SGD$1899.

It will come , have faith in Fujifilm coming to this. But not so soon as not to affect sales of X100T.

if that is the case, I doubt the price of x100s will come down even after x100T launch. do you know what is the street price for x100s now?

at the fujifilm event, keitaro san only said "we will upgrade you" to current XT1 users but x100s users he did not say that.

tried asking another fuji guy at the event (green band leader) and he says no firmware upgrade to x100s leh and wont get classic chrome filter...

Well, end of the day no one can say anything for sure until Fujifilm has announced it formally.

But yes, I'll hold onto my X100S and I'm confident the update will come.

If anyone feels justified to get the X100T , there's nothing wrong is doing so too.

I stayed behind after Keitaro San's talk and asked if the upgrade will come to X100S and he said it will come but wait.

So my guess is like what Keith said, that it will come, just not anytime soon.

currently have the x-t1.....thinking of getting the x100T as well.........am i crazy ? I have always wanted to get a very good compact to complement the interchangeable lens system. I believe x100T is the one. Easily a 2k investment with addition accessories

Haha I'm on a dual system too with Fuji, I think the x100 series complements the interchangeable lens one. More compact package and leaf shutter for street photographer, it feels cool! I use my XE2 when I need it for speciality jobs like tight interiors (10-24mm) and portraits (56mm).

Yup should be used on same day only as you got the camera...

I paid $50 deposit for preorder at MS Color.

And I went to Funan to check out the prices for the conversion lenses.
WCL asking price is $395 and TCL is $375.

So doing the PWP deal, savings would be $49 if you get the lenses individually but if you get both together, total savings is $120

Snapsort shows the X100T getting only a score of 55, vs the X100S's 73. What happened?
I own a X100S and I actually tried out the X100T at the Fuji event last week. First thing I noticed was the lack of the scroller wheel. I can't live without the scroller wheel! Not very impressed with the Chrome film simulation either.
I'm keeping my X100S.

$600 difference. Improvements there may be , but I don't think they are worth $600 & when the firmware update for X100S comes , I don't think there will be any large differences between performance on the T and S as remember that they sport the same optics and processor.

I think it's $500 difference.

Now x100T pre order $1899 vs x-T1 graphite $2199 with 35mm 1.4 ..............$300 difference...........which is a better deal ? I guess for pocketability, x100T is still the cam to go for.

Still undecided........maybe i will wait for price to come down for x100T .....anyone knows what was the launch price for x100S ?
