Fujifilm X100S

you're not too late.. i just got mine on friday ;)

Never too late. Its an excellent camera. Got mine a year ago, and its my best camera buy for 2013.

Common problem with electronics.. But with travel so cheap/common, not hard to get it from Hong Kong.

Sidenote: First thing I did when I got my x100s, get a cheap (JJC) hood/filter adapter, and a lens cap. The one provided can be bit loose. I travel with a good CPL with my x100s. (ND+CPL, pretty fun for long exposures)

Thanks ! Managed to hoot a mint Fuji adapter and hood from BnS , hence all i need now is a chrome B+W and I’m set to go :)

and in all, really a superb piece of equipment. This one’s gonna be with me a long long time.

but it's expensive in Singapore.

T-dimension HKD7,205 (S$1,177)including shipping to Singapore

just found out from them, the warranty is under their company warranty (not fuji direct), they will give a free delivery pickup if needed send it. I guess they will still send it to Fuji in their country

Yup , actually had shared about this previously in the MFT threads. The warranty provided is as good / valid as T-Dimension ( a HK based company ) or Mack, the 3rd party company which provides the international warranty. I had previously bought an item from them and collected at the HK branch a few years back.

Prob the reason why they can push prices down is the cameras are parallel imports but backed by this 3rd party company coming to warranty.

Buying from them I believe so far no issues , they have a good reputation for delivery. Claiming warranty I'm really not sure though their prices are generally very attractive I must say.

Yap, it's a reputable shop. I bought a premium lens from them before. Got 5-years shop warranty. So far so good.

Exposure bro looking for x100s ? ;)
It's a camera I've no regrets owning

Hi , though there are people waiting for the rumored x200 , let me share a video on tips for focusing on the x100s :)

Never realized that this combination of MF + AFL is quite nifty used together with the control knob.

feels very glad I decided to pick up the X100s after letting go of the X100. This is one camera that somehow allows me to revisit the joy of photography again. :)

Aren't you happy with olympus?

More than happy with Olympus :)

But that doesn't mean I can't be happy with something else right ? If a camera is worth praising I'll say so, irregardless of the brand.

X100s bug

Hi to the Bros who asked , Confirmed HK7300 ($1192) for a brand new set X100S in HK. NOT water good but legit with warranty. My bro just helped me pick it up today , note that there is no SD card and no standard freebies like tripod / cleaning kits. Hence if u r after the free gifts in the SG promotion pls do go ahead with purchasing in SG. Just cleared with Fuji SG that it's international warranty for 12 months as long as receipt and warranty card is provided. The HK shop itself also gives a 3 month 1-1 xchange grace period. Shop name in receipt attached.

Only cash payment?

Only cash payment?

Yeap. Same as SG, cards will incur 2% and subjected to really poor bank exchange rates hence it's really better to bring cash.

Been loitering here for awhile....finally got my x100s in HK (shop keith recommended ). After acting like innocent student, shop uncle gave me BEST price! Successfully registered international warranty from fuji HK website (Thx Keith for help!). Am very happy with my first few shots, totally blown away.
