Fujifilm X100S

Just checked at the IT Show, they still selling the X100S for $999. Those lurking around in the buy and sell can go grab a brand new one rather than pay almost he same price for a used one without warranty.
I guess it's ok la, in Japan price already dropped to $800+

Wanna get one myself soon.. Anyone know where to get a good deal? :)

Also curious where selling x100s for $999 as posted..
But I'm also tempted by Technogadgets $1499 for x100T..

$999 was at the IT Show. The booth was run by Fujifilm staffs and product fulfilled by Harvey Norman.

You can call Harvey Norman to check if they still have stocks in their stores.

Warranty by the shop u bought lo

I was told that all Fujifilm cameras come with international warranty.

Grey market means not meant for Singapore market, but it has to come from somewhere right?

Isn't it like buying it from Malaysia or even USA?

1yr Shop warranty means its like your local warranty has expired.
You send in to local servicing, then get billed and later after claim from shop.

If buy from overseas need to send overseas.

But I dont know if anyone has problems getting servicing from Fujifilm?

Gray means that these items have not been cleared for sale in the local market, hence yes , it will have come from somewhere but if the source is not legit , then there will be no international warranty cover for it.

For example in an extreme case , items that has been brought in without clearing customs and paying the relevant taxes.

For most people, a missing warranty card (I've come across a fake one too) is a very clear sign of a gray item.

For international warranty to be valid you will need:

1. International warranty card
2. Purchase reciept from authorized dealer shop in the country where the camera is assigned to (by serial number).

If you buy the camera overseas yourself from an authorized dealer, you can claim warranty no problem.

When you buy grey, you usually will not get (1), and you will never get (2). So i am not sure how you will be able to claim warranty from Fuji.
