Fujifilm X100S

Awesome, I will snag one.

This split focus thingy is like a Leica M9.

Must practice to get it to focus quickly. Old YouTube video shows Kai apparently can get his leica to manually focus faster than a mft af system which is less than 1sec. I tried my friend M9 damn slow not easy. I also notice my friend M9 photos not very sharp

Is the sensor the same as in the X-E1? The X100S is also an X-Trans but labelled as CMOS II.

I have both the X100 Black and the X-E1 and even though I love the 35mm f1.4, I find my heart belonging to the X100!

Is it worth it to sell the X-E1 and the lenses and just go for the X100S? The upgraded AF is a big enough deal maker for me.

Why not upgrade yr black X100? As for yr XE-1, do you need interchangeable lens camera? If yes, maybe wait for the XE-1s or XE-2?

Kai is most likely zone-focusing.

Having experienced both, manual split-focusing when used with focus peaking will be a huge plus. Peaking to get to the visinity of the focal point and split-focusing to nail it. Currently, with peaking, one still needs magnification to confirm focus but magnification is difficult to use when shooting handheld with anything longer with 100mm lens. If both are introduced into the Xp/Xe-1, I will most likely switch to Fuji.

for the x-mount system. Issue is not just with the camera but the lenses so i dont expect a big improvement for the X-mount series even with new AF system. That is unless they introduce lenses with HSM/SSM/USM or the likes.

Are we on the same subject of manual focusing especially when used in conjunction with legacy manual focus lenses?

U can only select either focus peaking or split image focusing. Not both at d same time

Can I hope for a better, higher capacity battery with % readings?

As long as I can remember, pre-orders on new camera products are nothing new

Of course not but some people probably never got out of S'pore. ;)

Expected in Singapore end Feb. Click! will update as news comes in! :)

Lynn

End Feb? If the price is not much higher than the X100 when launched previously, guess we can see lots of X100 for sale in BnS soon... It's just 6 weeks away. Too bad it's just the silver edition for now, black edition will be kool... :bsmilie:
