Nice new photos. Thanks.

One thing, the grip looks like the EP3's

Sad to say the m43 lens is not up to scratch for me. A lot of image manipulation in the camera including distortion correction.

Not up to scratch compared to wat? Also which m4/3 lenses are you talking about?

is the x10 that is all black.

if I remember correctly there is a special limited edition all black x100. I may be wrong.

Oh yes. Got confused with the x10 :-)

My only concern is how good is the sensor cleaning on the x1 pro?

This is a step in the right direction for Fujifilm. Don't waste their time in the DSLR market, create an entirely new segment of EVILs.

Everyone is waxing lyrical about the camera and rightfully so thanks to its predecessors and the EXR in camera processing that has awed a lot of people. The thing to take note: of all the lenses on sale one is conspicuously absent. the 35mm Equivalent of 24mm APS-C lens.

That's is in the same focal length as the x100. That's what I am afraid of: the fear of product cannibalization and it has made the Prox-1 offering not that fantastic out of the door. If one wants to sell as system, then sell every focal length out there that the customer wants, including the 35mm. I think they have err thinking that those buying x100 will buy XPro1 hence there's no need for the 35. I offer the alternative view. There are a lot of people who did not buy the x100 because it was a fixed 35mm. And those who bought the 35mm x100 would also want the 35mm out of the door with the xPro1 because that's the focal length they like (that's me).

I will wait since I am happy to shoot with the x100 at the focal length i like. Furthermore will wait for the cheaper knock off accessories to come online before jumping into this system. If it was made to work with Nikon lens out of the box, then I wouldn't have so many things to think about and get this once it is out in the market.

And I would have to agree. No zoom lens may mean two things. The hybrid viewfinder don't work with it well OR the quality is not up to scratch. The later is understandable since zooms can never match the iQ of primes anyway.

For the moment I will wait and see.

This model is definitely a step in the right direction for fuji... I hope though that they explore the rangefinder niche that only Leica currently has a hold on... A truly Leica-like camera for the masses, and with a hybrid viewfinder, I think that would definitely be a winner.

It is strange the the X-Pro makes me think of getting the X100 more, for the 35mm perspective.

But alas, the X100 is still too expensive for me to get yet another camera.

me too, may be Fuji will come up with a limited edition with silver top later...

wait for it mate, im sure prices would go down, when they release their new flagship model. Especially with a competitive pricetag :)

The X-Pro1 makes me tempted. Looking for it for traveling.:bsmilie:

If photorumors are to be believed, the price of the x pro-1 is :o :o :o.

1700usd for the body alone, 2300 usd for the body + 35mm kit.

As much as I want the camera, its not exactly a no-brainer price.

Hmm will see how this beast handles before plonking down my money for it

pretty steep, especially considering you can get the flagship APS-C cameras from both nikon and canon for around the same price, but i guess its worth seeing how it performs before jumping into conclusions. If they manage to fix the autofocusing issue from the X100, then it should be interesting as it competes with the high end APS-C offerings of the major DSLR makers.

But its a 35/1.4.
Anyway, I wait for the price to drop as I have no urgency for it.

The 18/2.0 could be interesting.

But the point is, would you or have you or are you planning to get the flagship APS-C cameras from Canikon? :-)

Wow, it's official now! And this looks very exciting! The lenses available at launch looks good, just not so much of the future roadmap which looks like they haven't put much thought into it... :D
