Fujifilm X-E2

Just a suggestion for you adjust the white balance based on the whites of the board of 12 horoscopes and see if it works for you.
Viewing on my uncalibrated iMac, it looks skewed toward magenta.

I have an Expodisc for WB and it works using the same concept. The idea is for to do a custom WB at the scene and let the camera "cook" the jpeg right for you on the spot; save the PP after that. :)

yes, i'm adjusting the RAW file this way and overall seems better to my eye.

pricing kinda steep for this compact size cam

Do you think it is the appropriate time that Fuji have its own section in the Marketplace? With the increasing lineup of the X-series camera and the roadmap ahead IMO it is time. Hoping the moderator can consider this in the near future.

I think the trading volume is way too low for its own section. Just my opinion.

last time i don quite like fuji, i tot its dying soon, looking at the recent yrs they really improve alot

anyone go for xe2 grey set ?

The XE-2 is compact but the performance is not.

For a 500g setup with a kit size and the body the size of an average guy's wallet, the XE-2's performance packs a punch.

I agree that the price is steep.

I agree that the price is steep.

Let's look at it this way...the lens that comes with the XE2 body cost at least around S$600, making the body around only S$1K.

I do not think with an aps-c sized sensor camera this is expensive. It so happen that Fuji decided to include the much expensive lens in the kit
rather than the XC lens counterpart they have...Perhaps, they are going for quality with IMO is the right way. Charge me higher but give me
my money's worth...

As I share my experience with the NEX 6, the kit is cheaper, but I cannot use that kit lens included (sorry some of you might but I cannot accept the IQ) and would need to buy a better lens which is crazy expensive, in the end it cost more to buy the NEX system, so i decided to change system to Fuji and never looked back...

is the kit lens any good?

erh, dont think so leh.

I was at SLRR on 31st Dec. Prices was SGD 1744. I range up AP. It was SGD 1799.

I guess fujifilm contest must have mixed up with x-e1.

The kit lens is good. The IQ is great and it focus pretty fast too.

Used it in low light conditions and it didn't disappoint on acquiring focus and the color reproduction on the lens is also very good.

One does not need to replace the kit lens with a "better" one and that is much better than the usual DSLR packaged kits that we see.

I am a Nikon user and when comparing it to the D7100 + 18-105mm kit lens, this is a much better package.

I have not seen a 18-55mm lens this good.

Fuji release an updated roadmap for X-mount lenses for 2014 till early 2015.

http://www.fujifilm.eu/eu/news/arti...14-and-early-2015-roadmap-for-x-mount-lenses/

This will bring the total number of lenses in the X mount lineup to seventeen.

Interesting a XF 16-55 f2.8 R OIS (fixed aperture standard zoom lens). - No LM? probably a typo error in their press release.
Also, a XF 18-135mm f3.5-5.6 R LM OIS (a walk-around lens for most people)....

Hoping, price is justifiable...

so most of you get the kit lens?
i thinking of skipping it

Although I have 18-55mm, I don't use that often. I prefer prime for the 14-56mm range. I am waiting for xf56mm and 10-24mm to be available!

It is your prefer choice , if just go for fixed prime , maybe x100s is the choice.
hrm. i have to agree i prefer prime but x100s is 23mm too wide for me.
i looking at the 35mm f1.4

also i not saying 18-55 is bad but i read somewhere it has some color fringing when u crop some pic at 100%

Actually the x100s is 35mm f2 in ff equivalent Cause x100s has a apsc size sensor.. So it has a 1.5 crop..

yup, xe-2 have the same sensor as x100s but i looking for 50mm equivalent , so 35mm lens is the nearest i could get
