Don't discount the S5Pro yet. It is still in the development phase, features are not fixed yet.
Size of batteries is not a concern. You'll have 3rd party makers anyway.
I'm more concerned about incompatible pin info.
Most interesting bit so far was the buffer. It used to be 3fps , 200MB. Now, its said to be 5fps and 288MB. Hope they push for more improvements... especially their wide-dynamic range feature
Price wise, there was a bit in the dpreview forums. It will be "well under (USD)$2000). At say, 1.6K, I think it will be pretty competitive.
We probably all agree that Fuji sensors are in a class of their own, standing well against Sony/Canon's. Indeed, it is a sad thing that Nikon does not adopt Fuji's sensor fully. It is not that Fuji doesn't want to sell Nikon but it has been mentioned a few times by Nikon in their interviews that Fujifilm's sensors are too expensive.
I guess if Nikon really went all out , to hell with price, Fuji would have built a FF sensor for Nikon. It would be a very very interesting combo vs the rumored Canon HDR 5D. Their 2003 SR sensor is getting a bit outdated. Again, at the end of the day, its all about profits.
Then again, if Nikon management really went all out, my dream was that they work with Foveon and Fuji. 3 Layered Foveon sensor with the Fuji high/low sensor in their original layout...
