Great find, thanks! :)

Looks like a usable ISO 10000, for small prints.

Comment #3 (by the original poster):

我是覺得,此款既然光圈是2.8-5.3,ISO直上到10000就沒必要

雖然ISO在3200~10000的表現不差

心理有個謎之音一直在說: 這是給狗仔用的專用ISO~~~~~~

Translation:

I feel that, since this model has f/2.8-5.3, it's unnecessary to go up to ISO 10000

Although the ISO 3200-10000 performance is not bad

A mysterious voice in my mind keeps saying: this is specifically made for paparazzi...

LOL :bsmilie:

Any latest news on when it will be available in sg? :dunno:

Anyone of the guys bought it here can do a reveiw?

Hi all,

Here we go... guess on the top of everyone's mind is how the ISO fare. Here's a little experiment I made. Ive set the Shutter and Aperture to give proper exposure. Only thing that changes are of course the ISO values,

Please give your comments :D

i think this camera high ISO performance is quite good. at least for normal 4R and A4 prints, i think the results shld be quite good and acceptable for normal daily usage.

i like ur this sentence very much. very true indeed.

"For me, I’d rather go 10000ISO and get the shot, then to miss it because it’s too noisy."

A shop in Sim Lim Square quoted me SGD900 for that set. Think the sensor is about same size as the one in LX1 - LX2 and the Leica DLux 3. Did not do my maths thou.

cheers

Hi guys,

Will be bring the cam out for shoot with my frens this sat. Will post to share. But the shoot is not going to be a "review" on the capability of the cam. Im more concerned on how the cam and I can work together.

Ok disclaimer added.

In anyways, I've enjoyed the cam shooting my dog. @ 7FPS + Hi ISO, the bugger looks somehow subdued, since the compact cams come up w blurs most of the time.

PS. for u to enjoy the high FPS, get a hi speed card. I ditched my free SD Cards and slotted in a Sandisk Extreme III. The write times for images is cut down so much.

Anyone else has this cam?

Hope to see FR soon.

Actually saw it at the IT Show, tried it but still skeptical cos bought a S9500 when it came out and sold in few months, dont get used to it and like it much, esp the colour and sharpness. When back to Panasonic FZ ..... again.

Bought one with free 2 GB card at $915 over 36 months free installments at Mustafa. Good price.

When throught some of the previews from Dpreview, on paper this camera do look good. gotta wait for the reviews from dpreview to see how it fair. But at a cost of $850 to $900 no hassle to change lens and sensor dust issue. Will have to consider......

Here is a sample of the Film Simulation mode i tried today with the camera.

Provia or standard mode.
