Yesterday drop by Audio House at Sims Drive.
Actually just opposite my house.
The quoted me S100 at $999 w/ gst.
Free gift:
- canon selphy printer
- 4GB SD card
- Camera case

If I remember correctly canon selphy printer cost around $150.
Still considering if worth buying.
Any input?

Forget Audio House. Their prices aren't that good and they don't have much product knowledge. I would stick to the usual places like MS, John 3:16, CP etc.

Sorry made a mistake liao.. you are right it was SD and not XD card. To be precise it actually c/w only one SD 2GB card + case. But I was given another SD card from Fujifilm because it was bought during the GSS promotional period.

Btw, I got it from Parisilk Bedok branch after some bargaining though. Holland v quoted me higher.

I got the Hoya ND2x and the CPL PRO1 filter and is still able to use the original lens cap.

Is the focal length at the widest angle (28 mm)? I have also encountered this problem when it was not set to the widest when taking macro.

Yes & only @ 28mm then you can use the super macros mode.
Find this quite dangerous as you need to get really really close to the object to take the closeup shot. Not very useful if you want to take close-up insect.
I always use spot metering to focus @ the center, maybe I need to switch to area or center weight metering for it to work(need to do some testing on this).

Anyone know where to get those cheap cheap magnifying glass that we use it during our school days cos I saw in some thread that they use this method & it's work

Last time I check John quote me $840 & CP quote me $860.
But John was out of stock that time(for a long time somemore), that's why I didn't buy from them. Great service from John, althought CP also not bad:thumbsup:
One thing about john is that they only carry those high-end(better quality) accessories & thus I went to MS to get my flash & CPL filter.

Sorry if I cause any misunderstanding;p
The normal macro mode range for S100FS is 10cm & can be use in any range.
But the super macro mode range is 1cm & can only be use in 28mm wide-angle.

Hi, in the meanwhile maybe you can check out the current selling prices in some store.
Cos most likely in Comex the price of S100FS will not be cheap but they will throw in lots of free gifts and you had to judge by yourself whether it's worth it or not

Yo Bro, you manage to sell your S100FS already or not

To armadillo, one thing good about this lens hood is that there is a small window below the hood where you can remove & use it to rotate the CPL filter with the hood on.
