May I ask why you're selling the camera? Nice pics, btw :)

I am used to DSLR, initial thought i will sell my Nikor 105mm lens and replace with S100fd + Raynox 250 like 1-1 exchange. However i decide to keep my Macro lens after looking at the differences in picture quality.

In short, i'm still prefer feel and handling of DSLR. No doubt s100fd is still a good camera.

Hi RePlay, still getting use to the new camera as some photo turn out a bit blur due to the ISO100 setting that I use but overall quite happy with the camera:)

To Subzero, Nice Photos:thumbsup:

Thanks SoulXion for compliment. One thing i like is it's 14X zoom. Your zoo pics are nice too.

Got to agree with you that picture quality of DSLR is still better than S100FS.
Should go for DSLR if you got the $$$ :)

To seansene, forgot the ISO liao, I think should be ISO400
Need to go back home and check the original photos;p

Very nice! ISO?

Thanks for the comments.
Check liao the ISO is 400.
Also need to take back my word that the IS for this cam not good ;p
Most of the pics that I taken here are zoom all the way up to 400mm(w/o tripod) & most the pics came out still quite sharp

I'd love to go back to the zoo to take some pics, but for some reason my wife seems to think I shouldn't be snapping animals;p

I think your wife wants you to snap her instead:bsmilie:
For me, I only take photo of my wife & little girls now, or else :kok:

After seeing all the picture sample, seem not bad at all.
Considering dSLR, but no budget for expensive lens, seem S100 still an alternative for me.
Will wait till Comex show :)

have any of you taken with 3rd party flash? how about a shot of the camera with the flash so we roughly know how it looks like... :)

Anyone S100 user using compatible battery? and what is the rating compare to the original battery?

Hi, just brought this emoblitz DS328AZ @ $50 from MS Color.
Stated in the manual that need the following setting
Shutter Speed - 1/50
Aperture - F2.8
ISO - 100

Didn't use much as don't like the result;p
One downside is that it can't control the power of the flash.
Still tweaking it to suit my cam.
Will post some photo when got the chance to use the flash:D

I jst tried using my new S100FS to shoot. But am disappointed that the photos turned out not as sharp and colors are not as vivid/vibrant. is this bcos due to my settings? can anyone help? Otherwise, i'll consider selling off this baby. :(

Hi, I got this sharpness problem when I try out this cam also.
The problem was solved when I set the ISO to 400 & above.
Always watch out for the camera shaking sign that appear @ middle right of the screen before taking the shot & you should be fine.

For colors wise, S100FS definitely lose out to those DSLR but can be close if you know how use the setting(like the setting for color, tone & sharpness). WB in some situation is quite bad & may cause the color in your photos to be out so keep an eye on this(like my photos above).

BTW I'm still a newbie to photography & hope this help ;p

Very cheap(for $1.50) compare to those expensive ommibounce & diffuser in the market;)

Don't know much about LX3 but quite surpise that it got external flash & aperture range of F2.0 - F2.8.
Maybe you can consider Panasonic DMC-FZ28 with better zoom(up to 486mm)?
