Still not very happy with the result as some shot focus are out.
Thinking of going back some other day to reshoot again, anyone interested?

Aiyoh, speaking abt F1, I failed terribly with my Cam man!!! Cant even take a good photo with the fast speeding cars!!! I used the Sports Mode, and multi-shots. It jst didnt work. :(

All except for the first photos.
Had to be very patience to shoot them as they keep flying off if you get too close to them.
My shot on the bees is a total failure as they are moving too fast, must practice more:D

It's more difficult to shot Singapore F1 Race as it's the only one racing @ night.
IMO this is one of the trickier part of photography as you only got a few second to prepare & take the shot but before you know it, they are gone;p
I think must practice the panning skill somemore.
At least you got one more year to next F1 race in Singapore:D

What macro lens did you attach to your S100FS for these shots? Or is it a macro filter like the Raynox DCR-250?

Been using this camera for 2 months & this is my option of it's disadvantage.

1) Sharpness & color not as good as s DSLR
2) Aperture is limit to F2.8-F11(somemore F8-F11 can only be access on manual mode )
3) Object at the edges of photos will get a bit distorted like fish-eye effect & seem to happen on all range. Try taken a photo of a rectangle in the whole screen & you will know. I think is becos of the lens range of 28-400mm that is causing this problem.
4) The most famous CA problem(annoying but can be fixed with s/w)
5) Can only use single-pin or non-delicated external flash(No TTL function), need trial & error when taken photos with external flash.
Heard that the problem 3 & 4 is very common with this type of wide-angle with long range zoom lens.

I think the above problems can only be solve if you purchase a good DSLR & thus can't help to solve your BBB virus but will increase the virus somemore;p

sorry but if this is not a dslr thn wad is this cam called? sorry bout my boliao msg just started shooting after my purchase at comex too...

The S100FS is called a prosumer camera or essentially a bridge between the compacts and DSLRs. Other cameras that are in this category include Canon S5IS.

Sorry, I used a close-up filter & not a macro filter;p
Brought this "Close-up filter 4 piece kit - 67mm" for $9.00
This is the site that I brought from but 67mm filter is out of stock already.

Can also consider buying the step-up ring to 72mm to get this filter. Cheap & good:D
