Thanks for sharing this, Keith! I am really keen on the X100F but the price is a bit shocking to be honest. It would have been more palatable if Fujifilm included one of the conversion lenses instead of all the pre-order gifts which are not so useful (other than the battery).

Fully agree with you bro. Fuji really overcharge. The launch price is the same as x100t and x100s in the states. ,1299 USD but Singapore price is far too High.

The launch gifts as basically not useful too. If they package with the conversion lens then maybe it be a good deal. Anyway for the price difference x100t will be more popular. I do not see how much improvement x100f has over the x100t except for higher pixel which most of us do not really need.

hi, the XF18-55 is a much better lens , in fact its often been touted as the best kit lenses when reviewers compared kit lenses across brands. It goes from F2.8 to F4 at the telephoto end. For the XC16-50 i see it at a same level of performance as the MFT 14-42 EZ lens.

hi bros, I agree with u up to an certain extent.

However to be fair, Fujifilm SG's pricing policies is often not in their own control and demanded upon by HQ in Tokyo. I had too expected a <$2k pricing but well, the USD came in and here we now have $2099. It is also good to understand the product placement (the X100F is a top-end model in Fujifilm's hierarchy and the only one other the X-Pro to have a hybrid OVF/EVF system).

ck2201 is right in that the X100T is going to be a popular alternative which I agree is a perfectly sound comment. Sometimes we have to look at our own needs / budget before deciding to gun for the most expensive model for starters. I've friends still using the X100 (Gen1) for example.

On the other hand, those who are sure of their choice and demands won't feel much forking out the price for a X100F.

The x100t has a hybrid OVF/EVF system too rite?? It was also the top-end model when released. And even back then HK (Who reports to Fuji Japan) was selling it way cheaper then Singapore. I'll not be suprised if x100f is a lot cheaper in HK this time round too. (I'll not tell how much it is, you know what happened last time you asked.....)

Considering that the optics haven't much updated (Close up at f2 is still glowy), and "16mp is enuf for large prints", the x100t will be a great 'bargain' for now.

But I do agree, those who have chosen, will buy the X100F whatever the price ;)

X-T20 at almost $1000 cheaper than X-T2. Wow. Preorder items a bit redundant though, with leather case and metal handgrip serving very similar functions.

Keith would you be able to comment on when the camera is available for testing at the showroom? Am curious also if this pre-order pricing will increase after official release.

No the price will not increase. On the contrary it will decrease. But you may find the free gifts not as attractive.

The pricing will revert to street prices and decrease slightly after preorder.

Take X100T as an example, it had only dropped around $1xx from its SRP of $1899 since release till now.

Showroom side probably after the Feb 17 fujifilm launch event as they are now currently prepping the cameras they have for the event.

And I love how alert u are, many don't realize the X-T20 is almost $1000 cheaper than the X-T2 and one of the most value for money items to get into X-Trans III

Well, actually "almost" is the wrong word to use since it's $1100 cheaper, if we go by the MSRP. "More than $1000 cheaper" is more like it, eh. The prices of both camera made me cough, although for opposite reasons.

Seems like casual shooters who only occasionally shoot a video or two and don't shoot under the rain or in horrible weather will have an easier time choosing Fuji's latest line of cameras.

I think the significant enough difference is the handling and size difference and weather sealing which is not really necessary ... so is it worth 1k premium? I doubt ...

So is Xt2 priced too high or xt20 price too low...

Yes I know those who need it will pay the price ..and there are always cheaper option ..
