Hey, do join us for shoots when your shift allows. We're all learning and not pro here.
(There's a pro lah. But she's normally quite tolerant of us amatuers ;))

Peng you eh! Dun get confused. ParamPita and The Pro are different people.

ParamPita is me. You will find me shoot occasionally with S100 users, Tangshooters and B.A.T.S.

The Pro (you want to call The Real Pro also can) is another person, she shoots for National Geographic.

Parampita, care to intro the photographer u referring to? Shooting for National Geographic?!?! ;)

Bro PhotoProZero, mine is ok only , I guess some of the shots are opportunistic. Happened to catch this moment by chance.

U mst be carrying ur cam wherever u go! Im learning that now. Ok, not learning, but doing it...
hopefully i get great opp like this! Good job!:)

Tmr u go where hoot? Sms me if u hooting.

So far I only know 2 NatGeo photogs. Other than u, the other one is no based in SG.

Some random shots from last weekdays:

Actually I kind of have a different thought.. I like the first one more as it's very "in your face" kind of shot. I see the middle bunch of fruit is nicely presented to the viewer while the other parts of the shots are nicely blurred.

For the second pic, if there is a purple fruit in focus in the middle instead of empty space will be nice.

Just my 2 cents.

yup.. that's why there's a saying of a picture tells a thousand words.. ask 10 ppl on what they think, 10 ppl will give you different answers.. that's why we can only take ppl's comments with a pinch of salt as photography is very subjective.. cos everyone view the pic differently.. especially at different time too..

It's either you love it or hate it kind of thing...

Bro Parampita, thanks for your comments, yes you are right. For the 2nd pic, it would be more ideal if the background is focused with more purple fruits instead of some spaces.

BTW, I noticed that no matter how much I try, S8000fd will most probably gives you 'very soft' images instead of sharp images?

True. That's why most importantly is to shoot shots that pleases oneself. Well, at least I try to although there are quite a number of my shots I dun like :bsmilie:

I think as long as try not to crop much, if at all, the pics produced are reasonably sharp. Try to frame your subject into the frame as much as possible is a good start.

I think there should be a setting in the cam to sharpen up the pics right? I am sorry I can't tell u now as I no longer have the camera with me.

Hey, all S8100/s8000 users in this thread, wanna join the s100 users to SBG on Saturday? I am going too :D
