sorry i asked so many questions...hehe

i took afew shots at the moon just now...i noe its very ambitious for me as a total noob.. (this is my first cam)
comments pls... i think mostly bad lol

can tell me wat settings u use for shootn e moon?

So far never come across a 37.1mm filter. As for the moon shot, nice. Try to increase the shutter speed. It will do away with the haziness round the moon.

dun understand why i can't find e damn filter. then why make e
cam if u can't put filter/adapter rings in?

hey guys, need help.. lumix FZ18 comparing to fujifilm s8100fd. which is better and valuable?

Hi guys, I'm not a S8100 user, but FZ18 user, kinda looking around and comparing. Just wondering, what did you guys use to do the moon shots? Any Tele-Converters?

Also did anyone take pictures at ISO 800 or 1600 before? Care to show some? =)

no teleconverter was used for my case.. everything straight from the cam...

Hi, JBK..tot u using DSLR now or u still using S8100? Any of u headed down to SIN today? all the pushing to shoot the girls n cars...worse, my cam(S8000) suffered difficulty focusing and zoomin in/out after taking too many shots....waiting for the flash to recharge was also a prob :embrass:

Very pretty shot!!

This is not IR or photoshopped is it?

Thanks. Not IR, at 4am not enough light for IR anyway. This is actually a composite of 3 different exposures into a HDR pic.

I happened to have my wide angle lens with me so I popped by the place for a couple of shots before heading home.

O... nice.

By the way, does anyone like to comment on the ISO speeds (800 and above) and the accompanied noise on the S8100? I asked a few posts back and no one replied me =(.

Don't use ISO 800. If you scroll a few pages back you will see how it looks like at that high an ISO setting from my previous post.

Check out this post, I used ISO 800 on S8000 which has exactly the same lens and same size (but less pixel) image processor with the S8100.

Okay thanks!

Honestly they aren't too noisy. Actually looking back at my FZ18 shots, they aren't too noisy either unless they are underexposed. Even -1/3 steps matters.

Anyone here uses TCON? Or other teleconversion lenses.

Did u see the long legged fly on the leaf?
Even though I own the camera, I don't think that quality is acceptable. I'm comfortable using the 2 lowest settings.
