Just took some pictures earlier on.. still need some fine tuning...

wah upgrading liao, shoot moon... why e 2nd moon
look like mouldy cheese? btw, wat settings u use? how long exposure?
& wat cam u use? how u shoot it? :dunno:

no lah.. me no upgrade lah.. just happened that someone recommended me to shoot the moon last week, so last night happened to notice that the moon looks nice loh..

me using S8100fd lah..

For picture 2, it happened that a class of clouds were passing it..

But don't you find that your shots of a half moon can see more craters? Generally I would avoid shooting a full moon as the direct view of the full moon tend to make it more flat.

yup.. i also notice that.. the settings is the same as i took it for the half moon one..

Hmm.. your wording got me thinking about the collective noun used for clouds. Turns out it probably is 'souffle' but not a common scenario to describe.

hi, i just bought got myself one s8100fd but i realised that there is no uv filter for this cam? can anyone advise? i am very new to semi pro cams or digital cams too... can anyone guide me to a link to read up more on the iso,shutter speed and aperture and its uses? thanks :)

so noone is using filters? btw i read somewhere down the line that u guys have outings from time to time... is it like a monthly thing or ?

Post some pics lah. No pics kind of dry. For your question, you are right. No one here uses any filter. U must be mistaken on the outing part. None happened in this thread. Check out the BATS thread, I will be there for the outing this Sunday. Or the Tangshooters thread, Kenn and I will be at the Import nights shoot. There are many other groups that organize outings.

hmm... ok will post some up... noone uses filter? how come? a frd told me that its good to have a cam with a uv filter? bats thread? i supposed in this forum ? will check it out... :)

i took afew shots at the moon just now...i noe its very ambitious for me as a total noob.. (this is my first cam)

So far never come across a 37.1mm filter. As for the moon shot, nice. Try to increase the shutter speed. It will do away with the haziness round the moon.
