think ur food shots gt the same weakness as my attempts on food shots too...not tempting enough :sticktong dun think u use flash for the food shots.. the food looks abit "stale". When I used flash for my food shots, turned out too orangey color. I realized the good food shots are bright and colors are vibrant...so nice u even wan feel hungry looking at the pics.
I am glad more shooters are "surfacing up" :sweatsm: tt way, we can arrange outings n make new frens... here is the list and hope more to go..

flash or no flash, ISO value etc... i adjusted e lighting before using flash. though
like wat u said, with flash they @@ more vibrant & bright, but from wat i read
flash can only light up so much. if I'm going to take nightshots, flash is
not actually advisable (correct me if i'm wrong pls) :embrass:

Me bought it from harvey norman.. cos went to several places.. but cant get hold of the cam..so finally gotten it at harvey..

I got the rechargeable batteries and a charger too.. but they suck big time. Sigh... Stupid 15 minute quick charge, use for less than 50 shots flat liao.

to me, i'm using prosumer as a try out before i brace myself for a DSLR.. i feel that prosumer will be a good learning camera for me.. as i can learn the features of the A, P, M, etc... no point i spend so much on a DSLR / SLR then i realised that i take ages to master the camera.. maybe by then better features and models are out liao..
however, it's to each its own lah.
I gt all those stuff too...rechargeable batt, card-reader, cleaning kit... recharg batt pai liao..card reader and cleaning kit nv use. Think next time just go MS Color get the basic set tt comes w tripod n memory card enough liao. To me, the pc show is just a gimmick show to sell cameras bundled w useless stuff tt wont even last long.
Well, to be honest I had intended to get the Canon S5 IS initially. I have the S1 and it was a fun camera. But for some reason Canon isn't updating the the series. May be no more S6?? I dunno but at the price it's going now, if I buy then suddenly Canon released S6 then I'll be bang balls.
I was choosing between Oly SP570 UZ and this S8000fd. Went for the Fuji instead as I normally dun like uncommon accessories such proprietary batteries and stuff.. in Oly's case, it's the xD card.
I think I type until out of scope already. Anyhoo... I am quite happy with this cam. Given the range of 27mm to 486mm, it is very useful. Don't think there will be a strong need for other lenses, even if it is possible to use.
On a side note, I am contemplating to get a dSLR. Haven't confirm yet.
what u say makes sense....I hear of friends wanting to buy DSLRs and when I ask them about shooting techniques..they tell me they dunno, anyway got AUTO mode. Prosumers are gd manual cams tt lets u grasp the "relationship" of aperture, shutter and ISO b4 gg into DSLRs.
