Fuji X100

Can't take pics and post now cos my X100 is the only digital camera in my bag right now - it's sitting alongside a Hassy 500CM, a Nikon F3T and a Voigtlander Bessa R3A

I am now very confused with the case that supposedly comes with the x100..

Many shops claim that the package they sell includes a case..
But most did not specify that it is the lc-x100 and they only say that it is a premium case..

Anyone out there can clear the confusion?..

yes the exposure compensation does not work when in full manual...

that's right..
you have to set the shutter and aperture to suit the conditions you are shooting..
in a way you are expected to achieve the "ideal" exposure while in full manual mode..

just a bit more to add. the exposure compensation does work, it will make the metering read over or under exposure. So if you rely heavily on the in build metering,u can use the exposure compensation to influence your manual setting when u shoot. hope my statement makes sense.

anyone know of cheaper 3rd party flash which works with X100?

Have tried on body flash and don't like the look at all. For me, it made more sense to pick up a set of phottix wireless flash triggers and a flash and run light the way I want it. Also, since the trigger unit is not heavy like a standard flash unit, it doesn't unbalance the camera and doesn't look out of place.

Haven't tried it with my sb-900 but I think the hotshot did not fit. I would be surprised if a generic yongnuo or Metz flash didn't work
