i just bought the x100. realized when i half-trigger to auto-focus.
The whole camera vibrates. I know the AF is slow but it vibrates too?
Is this normal?

actually i like the feature, it gives me feedback so i know it's focused when i snap without looking, the most important is, the camera is not give that "vibrate" when snapping the picture
I think it just degrades the IQ of the lens. That's why I avoid systems that adds on to the lens...I have it bad with converters...so i think it really defeats the purpose of the x100. Just go DSLR and get the wide angle lens. Alternatively, use the motion pano in portrait orientation.
The thing is that it stops vibrating when it focused so I don't think is a huge issue. If it vibrates when you snap, time to get a soft release to improve the argonomics for a more stable shot. If not, get the tripod or monopod.
