Don't think so.... people who managed to get stocks are selling them on BNS for a tidy profit, I seen an asking price of $2,350 just yesterday!

It is probably one of the protectors for the other Fujifilm cameras. I brought my X100 down to the shop in Chinatown and the girl there took one of the pre-packaged Martin Fields protectors to apply onto the X100. Fits so perfectly that you cannot easily detect that there is a protector applied. Cost $16+.

Steady I shall go check it out next week.

Called about five HN stores today and most of them have ready stock for the camera so went ahead and bought one for myself.

Anyway, the price was $1699 and the package included:
1) camera
2) 2 pieces of 16GB (class 6)
3) 1 extra third party battery
4) screen protector

Additional useless accessories
5) card reader
6) tripod
7) bag

Paid using DBS/POSB credit card and got $20 takashimaya voucher as well.

Now need to get myself a nice leather strap and a better memory card.

Got mine too but not via retail channels... I think I slightly overpaid for the machine but since it did come with everything I wanted (lens hood, adapter etc) I can't really complain. Willing seller, willing buyer...

Still trying to get used to the camera but I was really impressed by the OVF and the image quality...

Unfortunately I wasn't able to locate any set that was priced anywhere close to street price... I know I did pay a premium for the set + accessories but at least I know there's nothing left for me to buy at this time...

Well it's not too bad if you've got all the accessories by Fujifilm (especially leather case and hood+adaptor set) cause those items cannot be found anywhere and cost quite a bit anyway.

Got it from a seller lor. Heh. I am sure he made some profits lah but I also hand itchy to have the set on hand to try out.

It didn't come with the case though, but then again I am not so keen on the case after reading about it online...

Hey guys, I called up a few shops like CP, SLR Revo, OP, Manly and AP. They are all selling at the retail price of $1699. Does anyone know where can I find it at street prices (I assume its $1.4k to $1.6k?)

Worse is SLR Revo, when I called yest and asked if I place my order now, roughly when can I expect a set. Then the salesguy said rudely and impatiently that he doesnt know, maybe 6 months to 1 yr later. At least the other shops were more polite and told me most likely 2 weeks later is the next shipment.

If no shops are selling at street prices, i might as well just get it from HN since its nearer to my house and they give more freebies.

How 'ridiculously low' ? Nobody believed me when I said that the street price of the X100 is ~$1,400+. Guess what price I paid for mine.
Look for Kevin at Parisilk Holland Village. He's the boss there and what he says counts. :thumbsup:
