Actually, it may not be appropriate to compare directly as the X 35mm F1.4 is tuned for the Fuji X cameras, and thus it should be able to optimise the sensor of Fuji much better.

35cron is very sharp on a Leica M, especially for the latest ASPH version. One of the best lens made, besides the 35lux and 50lux.

So bro ZoomZ might b rite. Haha. Leica M lenses are not as sharp on d x-e1 as d kit 35mm

One thing that fuji cant beat leica on... the built quality... most of their lenses are made to last for decades... this X-E1 wif the kit 35mm lens might not last for 10 years ya know? LOL

we r in the Era of nothing will last long. and it doesnt matter that much compare to many yrs ago as ppl will just keep upgrading. :bsmilie:

availability seems plentiful. Almost all legit camera shops are still asking 1999 for the package with the 35mm 1.4 t the moment. Seems well controlled up to now.

Din get any.. just did some shots at Tampines Mall and Tampines One... Will post a few shots later.... Sharp as hell at f1.4, Bokeh is creamy, color is great. for a mere 1.65K SGD, this is a super value for money system... Awesome stuff... Not used to the AF at times though... LOL...

Need to get d screen protector, B+W filter and maybe a leather case soon... Broke liao...

Haha... told you that you will see the difference since few weeks back... welcome to the club!

At f1.4, the image is still super sharp and resolving. Not many lenses can do that.

Screen protector can go straight to Sgcamerastore. Filter can use Carl Zeiss or Fujinon filter which has better paint than B+W (paint wear off easily after cleaning a few times) and probably similar coating as the Fuji EBC coating.

Leather case only comes with Tan Brown, which may fit your silver X-E1, but looks weird on my black X-E1. No compatible leather case available yet, as this is too new.

Gariz, Kaza, etc... all will have leather cases available from Nov onwards!

You will still need a good soft release button, good A&A silk straps, extra battery, super fast SDcard, etc....

Buy...buy...buy..... Poisonous!
