Tks in advance... I cant even switch from Manual mode to Aperture Priority or Speed Priority... DUH :mad2:

Set the aperture to A to go to shutter priority. Set the shutter speed to A to go to aperture priority. If both set to A is program.

Omg. Thanks a million bro. Noob on X-E1 here. Haha. D ISO is really great.

Can I check if any bros here uses M lenses on yr X-E1? I know there is a macro function on the X-E1 and if I use M lenses on the normal M to X Adaptor, can I use the Macro mode on the M lenses attached to it? Thanks.

I have not really tried the macro function with my M lenses. All I can say is that the 35mm f1.4 lens is as sharp as the 35'lux FLE during a casual test last night. Not bad for a lens that is 1/10 the price of the very sharp FLE.

Bro, the macro mode only applies to Fujinon lenses I think. If you're using M lenses, have to follow the lens MFD unless you're using the hawks M to X adapter. I have both adapters if you wanna try it out. PM me if interested.

I second that bro. The Fuji35 is an amazing lens for the price we're paying.

Hi Thoth, I do not own a XE1 but I have an XPro1. The macro function only works on XF lenses. Typically XF lens do not focus near MFD during normal operation. When you enable macro mode the camera simply unlocks the entire focus distance (say non-macro might be 1m-infinity, macro mode 15cm-infinity).

The macro button does not work on adapted lens. You can focus at MFD by default.

CS Bros, thanks for the quick clarification. Deeply appreciated.

Bro pit14, will PM you and see if we could meet up and try out your adapter on my cron 35 asph. I know the kit 35mm lens is reputed to be as good as the FLE, somehow, there is a love for my cron 35 asph and think it looks great on the X-E1 and should perform quite well too... D VAIN factor maybe. LOL

Hi Bro,

Time to sell your 35cron. The kit 35mm F1.4 is sharper even at F1.4 wide open. I bought the original adapter to test out with my 50lux ASPH and 35lux. The only reason to me of using the Leica lenses will be for the rangefinder mode (range focusing based on the distance estimation). Since this lens is tuned for the Fuji sensor, the kit 35mm f1.4 is at least same to the 35lux in terms of sharpness and better than the 35cron and yet with full auto-focus. I have not seen sharper lenses and can't imagine anything non-fuji could maximise the sensor like the kit 35mm. You will not be getting any real benefits unless you are going to a Leica later on.

Just to clarify. I don't mean to say that Leica 35lux or 50lux is inferior to the Fuji kit 35mm. In fact, I love my 50lux still for my M9P, and the optical performance is second to none. Just that for the Fuji X, the 35mm kit has been so well made and tuned for this camera that there's very little benefits of getting another lens for it.

Unless you need a wider lens, maybe the Voigtlander 12mm or 15mm.

That's probably why you don't see a lot of BNS for Fuji adapter, as compared to Nex adapter.

Can someone post a few pics of the X-E1 with the Fuji 35mm f1.4 lens, thanks!

I have yet to test it fully as its weekday and m really tied up at work after a short holiday in HK. Thanks to yr poison bro, as alwayz.

I think d sentimental value of having d cron 35 asph around is great. Haha. I might sell it if a good offer comes along. Maybe save it for d new M if I get it next year. See how. But think d only benefit of mounting d cron on d x-e1 will only b d vain factor.

Thanks for sharing bro.

Thanks bro.. Cheers... Most probably over the weekends when u r free... Smilez

Until Sony resolve the purple fringing and noise issue on their FF NEX, Dun think i will touch it. LOL... Lesson learnt. D new M will be the lust factor...

For a Leica M, you need a 35lux, not the cron.

After using the kit 35mm F1.4, you will crave for F1.4 and not used to the 35cron F2.

35cron on a Leica M9 is very sharp, but bokeh is not as nice as 35lux.

Bokeh from the kit 35mm f1.4 is creamy!

Haha... more poison for you!

My 35 'cron works great on my GXR. I had shot the 35 'lux and the XF35 both at f1.4 on the XE1. I also tried 1 shot on the 'cron at f2 but it was not as sharp - could be because it was bedtime and may not have been as careful as I should have. Will be trying again when I am not so busy.

So bro ZoomZ might b rite. Haha. Leica M lenses are not as sharp on d x-e1 as d kit 35mm
