Interesting .. guess I will take the M9 out for some fresh air over the long weekend  Will try to post some comparison pics then

U should bro... M9s are not made to rot in the dry cabinet u know? Shoot Shoot & Shoot!!!

Out of the camera I cannot differentiate photos from a M9 and a x-pro1. Serious.

Fuji has made huge improvement in their image processor... Jpegs look decent straight out of the box.

Not only d sensor... their 35mm ASPH lens is awesome... respect their ability to make such a fast 35mm lens that could rival the Summilux ASPH lenses..

Something to share again: On the usage of different Film Simulation in X-E1, hope this is helpful as bro pit14 had opened up my mind on this fabulous way of utilising Fuji's film settings.

"Velvia possesses a super saturated slightly contrasty look that became the darling of nature shooters. Provia was the “go-to” film for product, commercial and general use, while Astia and its lower contrast smoothness hinting with a touch of warmness was perfect for portrait and fashion work.

The X Pro 1 & X-E1 offers you a choice of Provia (standard), Velvia (punchy & saturated), Astia (soft), Pro Neg Hi (contrasty), Pro Neg Standard (great range of tones), Monochrome (b&w), Monochrome Y (Yellow filter for contrast), Monochrome R (Red filter for higher contrast, great for clouds), Monochrome G (green filter for smooth skin tones), and Sepia tone (warm old feel)."

Cheers.

IMHO:
provia is almost too bland for my liking but is a good starting point for PP work.
pro neg std is best for natural looking skin tones, esp for asians. astia works for caucasian skin tones but seems over-saturated for asians.
velvia is almost strictly for landscape work but can be used to get that over-saturated lomo look. main issue with velvia is the greens are too green - almost fake.

Thanks for sharing yr views bro. I agree velvia is abit too punchy for most situations to use. Landscape macro at times maybe.

no matter how small still an Improvement..

this is something l like about Fuji.. they are always listening to customers and improving their current cameras..

how l hope they will allow us to set minimum shutter speed..

another one I hope to see is for us to remap the fn button to choose AF point.. the current position just too cumbersome.. I ended up poking my nose a few times when looking into the EVF and try to oush the AF button..
