One of the most well made soft release is made by tom abrahamsson, especially the Chrome ones.

Tom Abrahamsson uses anodized metal just like iPhone 5... they are more durable than Match Technical's lacquer finish. I have the red TA soft release; other than some minor scars the soft release holds well with my frequent abuse.

Why not combine or modify the X-Pro 1 thread? After all they have the same sensor and everything. The only major difference is the OVF vs EVF and I doubt that affects the final image.

I agree with DemonicAngelz, both x-pro1 and x-e1 shares the same sensor and image processor thus you can browse through x-pro1 image thread if you wish to poison yourself with x-Trans sensor

Think might b confusing as some bros might haf x-e1 specific related issues n might b overwhelming d xpro 1 thread with unnecessary comments that could b considered OT.

same sensor will give you same IQ yes but i feel it will be great if the XE-1 has it's own thread to show what can be done with a pure EVF/LCD approach as compared to the X-Pro 1 where you have the OVF.

personally i will like to see if the shooting style/subjects changes when you are unable to rely on OVF as an option.

Had the X-Pro1 and now the X-E1. Pictures from both cameras are same as same sensor, same lense, similar software in the camera (just short of the OVF). The OVF will not give you a different IQ as it is just an "optical view finder" which is not a live-viewing image, and it has it's advantages and disadvantages, but nothing to do with the final image.

EVF gives you "what you see is what you get". OVF gives you a very close estimation of "what you see". Ultimate result is dependent mainly on skills, composition, etc. no difference betwwen the 2 cameras.

No news... bought my stuff today... B+W 52 MRC F-PRO, Red Dragon soft button & Hercules LCD Protector... Stupid sgcamerastore ask me to fix d protector myself.. just did n found one round blob at the centre of d screen. irritating!!! Somehow din manage to fix on the LCD properly... :mad2:

The blob is normal.. I guess you bought the glass-type screen protector? I suspect Fuji's LCD screen is "sticky" thus it tends to get the glass protector to stick onto it. No worries mine is the same too.
