Fuji X-E1 and new compact coming! Thread II

Just picked up X-E1 body 2 days ago and uncertain on the different features. I used to own the X-Pro1 and i distinctly remembered that there was a focus peaking like aspect in that you can see very slight silver edging when you magnify for manual focus.

I was surprised that the X-E1 did not have the same feature. On magnification, I did not see the silver outline indicating edges that are in focus. Is this the major difference between the X-Pro1 and the X-E1?

Regardless, I prefer the X-E1 for the small body profile and mainly pairing it with Leica 35s. I still love using my M9 but with the Hawk's factory helicoidal adapter, I can do damn good close-ups with Leica glass on the X-E1.

Honestly I think Fuji has got a real winner in this product range and I can't wait for the X-E2 with the newer manual focusing aids.

I do see some shimmering silver linings at some lighting conditions on my X-E1 while magnified focused.

You should still be able to see the silver shimmering thing if u set to 3x magnification..

At 10x magnification it's not that obvious..

I tried the match technical one also..
Very nice and comfortable..
Used to have one on my XPro..

But lensmate is almost half the price of match technical..
So I dunno how it matches up to it..

Had the lensmate thumb-up on my X10, the best accessory I've ever bought other than SD cards and batteries. Don't worry, just go for it. You won't be disappointed. If you don't feel it's up to your expectation, you can swap w my Match Tech one (w some topic from your side of course ).

Using lensmate for x20, previously on x10 too. Very good quality although slight paint peel start to show. Bought the thumbs up for x-e1, the quality is top notch too.
