Thanks for the tip! I just went down and bought a set too! At first they quoted me $1,488 but because of your thread, I knew it could be lowered. Bought it at the same price as you and paid by CC. Also bought the zoom lens and a anti-static blower which is on sale for $80 instead of the usual $100.

I got my set from Cathay Photo. Oh, u mean after these batches, they will be from elsewhere other than Japan?

U meant the GH1 kit lens: 14-140mm right?
Yes, it's quite big for m4/3 standard as it's about 85mm long (retracted) and uses 62mm filter, which is about the size of Tamron18-250mm.
Just know that it's just a all-rounder but with silent AF to compliment video.
And it's not cheap either...2nd hand seen selling 1-1.3k at BNS. :sweat:

Yah, didn't know of any Panasonic camera products made outside of Japan though, esp these "high ends pricing" ones...

Which Nikon are you using? I suggest you don't sell first... I had a GF1 for a day, was also really tempted by the weight... but I can tell you it's a good compliment for my D300, but not a replacement.
