FIREWORKS: Singapore Fireworks Festival 2006 - Esplanade Bay

The first low level fireworks came on at around 7.30pm. Followed by some mid ones at around 8pm. Lots of short ones in between just have to stand there and get ready to press your shutter. That was for the NE day only i'm not sure about the actual day though

b) For location (b) above : Marina promenade opposite Tanjong Rhu

Well my pics are not good enuff as his to post here, but that's not going to discourage me from trying to do so wif my PnS camera ! :sticktong

From the above picture posted by xtac, the high level fireworks seem to be facing Beach Rd area.

So later today at about 6pm, just before the NDP Preview I'm going to explore the idea of taking from Beach Rd flats or from the bridge along Nicoll Highway.

Depends on which part of the bridge.
If you mean the Tanjung Rhu one, nearest MRT station is Bugis.
You hv to start from junction between Beach Rd and Ophir Rd :

I assume that you're talking about going up there to for the Esplanade Fireworks in August..... not the NDP Preview today or 9 August NDP.

There is a stairs up from the red star location in the map below (A few months ago when I went, the entry to the stairs was still hidden by heavy construction work (underground MRT station etc.) going on there. I think it's still hidden these days. :

To reach there, you can alight at Bugis mrt,
then go to the bus stop at Victoria Street take bus 960 or 133,
(in front of Bugis Junction, not the Bugis Village one)
alight at the 4th or 5th bus stop....ask the bus driver to verify

i read this whole thread but i found that no one mentioned the timing for today's preview fireworks..
is it going to be at around 7.45pm?
