Probably should post in the newbies section instead of the review question? Anyway, you only need a dry box if you're storing it most of the time, if you're using it quit often, shouldn't need though it would be good if you have a dry cabinet, but when I had one camera, I didn't bother, and it never got fungus, now I got a few and I don't shoot as often, I have a dry cabinet

thx spidey for the advice, ya shld have post in other section cuz i tot mayb since its for review might as well post it here haha....

kaozz..... there is a 'food mode' on this camera ???

the epl-2 dont have

Wah - can we say that this camera can be placed in the same class as the LX-3/LX-5, Leica Dlux 4 etc?
The dramatic tone filter alone will save many people a lot of photoshopping work just to obtain pseudo-HDR effects...

Lol... Too much of a good thing is never good, to be used selectively

even more examples of dramatic tones

So were the settings automatic or on aperture priority or fully manual and you merely applied the 'effects'?

On the dramatic tones shots all the settings were automatic

Hi Ortega, when shooting in dramatic tone, can one adjust the 'strength' of the effect, as in weak/standard/strong? I seemed to read somewhere about this adjustment, may be mixed up with epl2 or just from a wish list from users?! Thanks in advance.

No you cannot adjust the strength of the effect, is it kinda like switch on and shoot, kinda like lomo.

Good test images. How is the build quality? Metal body? Is it an LX-5 killer?

Actually you can try them out at courts....

It's metal but definitely not as solid as LX5...although it's good enough.

agreed.

the dial on the front is slightly more loose (or hollow) than the one on the Canon S95
focusing is generally really quick though, a few nitpicks on the functionality of the camera but nothing serious imo.
