Confirmed Aps-c... K3..... with Richo trademark
looks like a viable option to replace an ageing K5...
Oh...if it is still apsc....i stay with my k5iis then...
Dual card slot! What I read on dpreview pentax forum is slightly different. The source was said to be someone who attended the pentax 20th millionth camera celebration in cebu, Philippines. He mentioned K-3 is 20.1MP(Sony A-58 sensor?), dual card slot, 100% viewfinder with 1.0 magnification (maybe that's why the larger hump?) and resolution close to 645D (algorithms for adjacent photosite sampling?)..
Yep talking about camera output!I think you interpreted wrongly. When that someone mentioned people bought Pentax for colour and dynamic range, I believed he meant the colour output of the picture and not physical colour of the camera body. It is well know fact that Pentax produces beautiful output colour.
well said ranchy. in fact, pentax has the widest range of APS-C lenses to offer to customers compared to C and N. from wide all the way to tele. not forgetting additionals from SIGMA.
I think how about that,
A APSC sensor, but it can shift to take 4 shots, and merge into a full frame sensor size image,
since K mount is full frame, FA lens can cover the full ciricle , shift half way to left, right, top, bottom to cover the full circle area.
just like panorama image, if you dont have a full frame or large format, shift sensor to fake one,
at least good for landscape photographer already,
That's an interesting concept- is it real?
If so, there's no need to stick to aps-c. Should also work for smaller sensor as well, like micro 4/3 doing this should easily get a pic nearly FF too.
The guessing game is almost coming to an end. It is tentatively aps-c and not ff. Don't give up hope yet there may be a surprise. The K3 image and specifications stated may not be the real one. Everything is speculative until now.

Its possible but I don't know about it being in-camera automatically for k3.
We can already do this manually using the composition shift function.
