Feisol is value for money. I find the plate securing the legs robust enough, but the gitzo's have a more solid feel.

If the cost is justifiable then get the gitzo , else feisol makes a good substitute

Hmmm.. if any one is getting the Gitzo from HK, recomend you get it the sooner the better... read from some HK forum tat price of Gitzo is increasing... new stock just arrived in Tin Cheung with higher price tag already... next batch expected to be higher...

Last I saw was HKD$2680 for the 1228, now got some one from DCHOME reported HKD$2900 already... fromTin Cheung.

Hmm, Gitzo got another model for 1228
it's G1228 LVL . this model allows the centre to rotate by about 12 deg.
could the price increase be the different in model.
cp hasnt got this model yet. juz check with them 2 days ago.

Just want to share that I ordered mine from Feisol directly last Sunday and got both the 3401 and the monopod today (6 days later). Total was US$275. I think this is better than the eBay price. Anyway, they are indeed light and well-built, just like the reviews said. Definitely value for money.

Yes It is Tung Ying Shopping Center on Nathan Rd, Tin Cheung is Inside, and there is another shop opposite it...
