The ballhead plus the QR plate is around 400g, the lightest I could find to be able to support 3-4kg gears (8kg based on the description of the ballhead) :D

thanks man!!!
now, the killer qn... how much u paid for it and where? ;)

i've been searching for a light ball head ever since i bought my feisol!!!!

Anyone knows when the above mentioned promotion of the tripod/monopod + head will be in town???

I am quite interested...

Thanks Feng Wei.

To the other thread readers: This Ebay purchase is the same as getting it from the Feisol webpage. The prices are exactly the same as are the terms and conditions.

How's the Foba Superball?

I got the 488RC2. A bit of an overkill for the monopod - very top heavy. But I think I should be able to use it on the Slik.

Yeah, the eBay auction price is the same as buying form Feisol directly. I just wanted to have a CONFIRMED transaction, and meantime can have an extra credit at eBay I guess ;)

The Foba Superball ballhead is quite okay, a bit expensive I guess. I don't want to have a heavy ballhead on a CF tripod anyway.

I guess you should've gone with the 484RC2 ballhead (300gram, 4kg load as on paper but should be no problem for 2kg), less than half of the weight of 488RC2 (700gram), good enough for a monopod I think.

Anyway, enjoy the new purchase and have fun on your trip ;)

It's S$279 new from Cathay Photo, hope you can bargain down a little bit ;)

Second hand around S$220-230, if you can find one.

Good luck!

does john3:16 have zero interest installments for credit cards? may get the tripod with other stuff there since they have feisol.

The latest response from Alias ;)

Hi all,

Thanks for your enquiries regarding the tripods. All
the tripods have got happy owners already.

The distributor with whom my friends & I had bought
from will not be supplying us anymore stock. :(

Tat's cos I understand John 3:16, M S Color, East Gear
and Alan Photo have just started carrying them.

Suggest you guys go to those places to have a look.
Highly recommended! I love mine!

Cheers,
Alias

Better check out the shops above if you are interested in the tripod.

Cheers!

It's Benro. Gitzo Clone, even the model number also clone gitzo... Gitzo 1228 == Benro 228...

You'll probably have to try it to decide for yourself if it is worth it. personally, I dislike the quality, but there are those who are satisfied with it.

Also, how much is John3:16 selling the Feisol?

For Feisol CT-3401,
John 3:16 is selling at $359 while as
MS color is selling at $340.

It comes with a tripod bag with a BIG WORD Feisol on it.

saw the tripod..
quite light and stable...
gd price too

hmm... how does the Feisol's compare to the Slik CF series? I would be able to get the Slik for roughly the same price.

tried it out at John's earlier. the CT3401 is quite stable but need some tuning when using for the first time. the joints are all quite stiff. It's a lot lighter than what I had imagined.maybe not if I add a ballhead to it. The locks take some getting used to, definitely not designed for quick setups.

Was told Eastgear had it in their showroom too
