Not very sure about that..but he did wanted to get out of BAR last year yah? :dunno:

They even went to court! Judge ordered him to stay at BAR till his contract ends. Had an agreement to join Williams.

he aims to be a world champion.
he knows honda has the $$ to help him get there.
he did not foresee either bmw leaving williams or williams doing so badly this year

what i find surprising is the amount that he is supposedly willing to pay to release him from the williams contract

Ya. The gress at Williams turn yellow liao. He wanna u-turn. Williams gotta make do with Webber and Nick (dunno how to spell his name)

I guess they might have to use Cosworth engines. But those Cosworth engines supplied to Jordan and Minardi are subsidised, so maybe not top performance type.

When Frank Williams secure a big sponsor, i believe they will have the spending power to buy better engines.

How about Ferrari engine :p

Heh....if you're Ferrari, you sure supply a lower spec engine. :bsmilie: Just like what they supply Sauber. Williams cannot except that. Besides Williams are Ferrari's rivial.....unlikely to throw away face and ask Ferrari for engines.

Wah quite amazing leh......of all engines, Cosworth got the spotlight here!

I will surely miss SATO if button were to stay at BAR.

He is my Kamikaze Driver.

Williams just lost Nick Heidfeld to BMW. They're really expecting Button to join them.

Sato is way way way....too expensive and reckless to keep. He wreck more cars then he gets more podium time. His latest bo-bo where he whacked into Shummi's ferrari was just something you know it HAD to be him to do it. He's going down in history as the only racer who got swiped like a kid on his head(via his helmet) by the best F1 Champion of all times. heheh....

Button agrees deal to stay at BAR

Williams have confirmed that they have released BAR driver Jenson Button from the deal that would have seen him switch Formula One teams next season.

:bsmilie: Sure will miss him. Always blow up in style.

So Sato have paid the price for his errors.

Oh so Williams have a vacant seat! Anyone fancy a drive? :bsmilie:

He is like a freight train...he just pushes forward with a devil-may-care mentality which is good for getting him those front poll positions quite abit. Problem is as much as that gung ho driving style worked for him ( and scare other drivers ) ...it also works against him. There is only so much a Japanese Car maker would want to have a fellow Japanese Racer carry the banner for them but this is a high stake game....there is no such thing as national pride or loyalty here if performance does win races.

Go Rubens!!! heheh..........

At least he is the only driver who always made headlines. And we really need this kind of drivers personality to boost up the sports excitement. Nowadays the drivers are really "driver" who just drive and play safe towards the chequered flag. Do you want to see them going round and round and round. I dont think so. If this goes on, the only excitement would be when the cars go for their pitstop.

Although he got slap on the visor, Heyyy..he is still cool!!!! Thats what I like about him. And he surely make my day on that particular race!

Go Sato!

Hmmmm... Thats a good question.

Anywhere will do as long as he made headlines.

Well I got to hand it to him in that respect. But if you are the car owner, how many more cars are you expecting to pay when he wrecks them hehe...fun for us to watch but murder on the car maker's pocket.

He should try motorcycle racing if he wants to be over-the-top gung ho. Asian are on equal footing with other western country with this sport it seem with quite a few Japs in the top 10 international standing. I think that is where if you are really brash, daring and hungry to win, it is the ultimate..and very little protection too heeee. Easier to be reckless in a F1 car that has a safety bubble" to protect your a** when you hit something at 200-300km/h but on a bike...you better pray.

Round and Round? You mean like the F3 or US Nascar? At least the F1 has twist and turns. heheheh I think all the American Car races are overrated personally...but that's the USA for you.

Think next year's F1 will be very interesting....just hope there will be no weird rule change.

How many here are in favour of the no tire change rulling for this year? I thot it would have been better to change their tire at least one time.

I am all for Kimi to win this year.

The only ruling that I would want to see for next year will be to re-instate the aero-dynamics settings. It is better to have last year's aero ruling so that we may see more overtaking. It has been mentioned many many times that overtaking is difficult by this year's aero setting regulation. (no grip when one near the rear of another car)

I am in favour of this ruling. No tyre change - more challenge for the tyre manufacturers. But less excitement during pit stops.

Yes, I am all for Kimi too. But his challenge for this year was hampered by the not so reliable MERCEDES engines. Looks like Alonso this year. :(

As for me, I am looking it a race excitement point of view. But if you are looking at the car maunufacture point of view, then I must say that its no good.

For us, I think we are just spectators and we wanted our favourite sports to be fun to watch and excite. And thats where ppl like Sato makes things happen.

Well as for next year, we cannot forsee any rule changes coz that Mosley always comes out with funny ideas which sometimes pissed of team principal and owners. We will have to wait and see.

Hey, I missed the tyres changes. Cars coming in to pit stop just for fuel is quite boring. Yah, I agree..at least 1 tyre changes.

I am a Montoya fan. But for this year I support kimi for the championship. Errrr...But I think its kinda hard to catch up. Seems like Alonso's.
