Darren said:Not trying to crash this MO, but just wondering what would be the incentive to upgrade to the V2 hardware if you already have the V1.
From the website, can see that there are 2 new features of the hardware:
1. the ambient light measurement;
2. the improved sensor sensitivity and speed.
#1 is cool but does it really affect the calibration per se?
#2 could be significant if its really improved in the sensitivity but speed is kinda like a nice afterthought (after all, you only calibrate once in a while).
For me, the iMatch 3.0 software significantly improved the Eye-One's calibration of my monitors, so I personally can't see any benefit from upgrading to the v2 hardware.
But this MO is definitely a great deal for those that don't currently have a Eye-One Display, just wondering about those that already have the v1 h/w.

espn said:Hi Darren,
It's just a kind gesture to help meet the 8 buyers that I decided to opt for the v2.
I can stick with the v1 frankly, like what you mention as I feel at this time it's good enough, I've also mentioned to a few friends that I won't mind holding on to v1 till v3 is released.
Since I've only recently gotten the v1 and if I can let it go without losing too much, another $100 more is probably all it takes to get v2 and help Dennis out here in making numbers to fit the purchase.
Of course if the numbers 8 are already filled then I'll glady hold on to my v1
Ok now.. slight problem here I need to download Match3 in office but I forgot my login/password, :bsmilie:
