dance and arts events.

Then you'll want to try out the longer focal lenghts and you'd need it to be fast as well. Consider the 80-200 f2.8 or if u have more dough, 70-200VR.

Not exactly cheaper...

Tamron 70-200 f2.8
Sigma 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG HSM

But I won't reccomend u the f4 or f4 to f5.6 ones as you won't be able to use them indoors well...

It's one area you can't skimp on, because very often, even f/2.8 is not fast enough - you can 'just get by' if you bump your ISO up to 1600 and above at some venues/performances.

Some performance shooters I know prefer a combination of fast 85mm / 135mm and or 200mm primes and two bodies.

MoMo i dunno what you need, but do the trinity lenses sound good? ;)

BBB! :devil::devil::devil:

lol
buy, keep and wait for the time to get the lens :bsmilie:

Can lah ... just prioritize and save up for what you NEED.

It took me over 20 years of dreaming, and over 5 years of scrimping and saving, and working tons of extra assignments before I could afford to buy my first 'f/2.8' trinity member. :cool:

If it's any encouragement, brand new filters in their boxes can keep for an awfully long period!
