The only reason why you could not type those in .... in your situation could be due to using a FONT type that does not have those "# and @" in them thus no matter how you type it with THAT particular font...it will just be a blank space. I get that alot with especially fancy fonts. If you select Arial or Times Roman...etc for example. It will appear..

This was what I thought so at first, so I used Times New Roman... and still cannot...
Maybe my fonts plug-in got problem? Or some settings not right?
:dunno: :cry: :cry:

Trying different fonts, some come up with a box, I think those are the fonts that do not have the symbols.

With fonts that have the symbols, like Times New Roman, # give me the pound sign (UK currency) and @ gives me "
:dunno: :cry::cry:

Probably fonts have error liao....

weird... :think:

Your photoshop might have a corruption issue that created error in key-mapping of typeface of font to your keyboard. In Windows you can map fonts to keyboard. Also check what keyboard type you have selected. US 101 Keyboard or something else. If you can type those symbol in other problem but Photoshop, it could be a key mapping issue.
