VLC can play many formats but might not be all... i use it to play videos i dl from torrent... no need to convert, just copy through itunes the original file into ipad, can be open throught vlc apps...

I see... Some sites said that Apple pulled it off, and it's back, some just said that it was pulled off and stopped there... And most sites don't recommend it as a multi-codec video player option. So weird...

Nvm, maybe I just go with the Archos.. :D

ipad is imo good for kids really... i buy to mainly entertain my daughter when i run out of things to play with her ... got lots of apps for children, cheaper than buying children books... else net surfing can be sianz when u cannot access flash website or when some videos are flash... photos looks nice though... other than that i use it mainly in the toilet doing my business...:bsmilie:

Ah...

I mainly will use it when I go over to Van's place... Cos I use desktop at home now, and surfing on iPhone will be so sian.... And also for overseas, can watch videos at night! :)

get a cheap desktop and put in her room.:)

Easier to sync with itunes, but you can get a connection kit which will read SD Cards. But still alot of hassle.

For movies, what ever you can play in iTunes in theory can be played on iPad

If you have friends in the UK, tell them to bid for you.... And bring back, Van's Canon SLR cost about... $40 I think. SLRs are overpriced here in comparison... RFs also. :)
