Never been there before, Security wise how issit?

CYRN, Happy Birthday.

There is no problems with security at all there. Some of the most friendly people I have ever met and very very safe. If you have a problem the Tourist Police deal with things very quickly.

Plenty to do, visit the temples, go to the villages, Long Neck People, Karin Villages etc.

Last time there I went to one temple 300 steps to climb, this time I went to a little known temple (not a tourist place known to locals), 400 steps this climb, but well worth the effort, spectacular views of the country side.

I missed out on the cheap tickets being high season, so with ticket and 7 nights hotel was a little under 1K. The el cheapo ticket is less than SGD325. Hotel cost me about SGD50.00 a night 3 Star, right in the heart of the old city within the Moat, but still very easy to get around.

Depends on what you want really.

Cheers ....

Cheers ....

When you want to go red star, same day lor. :)

Lol, maybe hold back a while I waiting for the kuku letter.

If by week of 24 still no letter then anyhow take end Jan/before CNY lor, is that ok?

I have been to Chiang Mai a long time before for school trip.

I remember got elephants.

Sescapes wise I'm not sure, can always check though. It's a nice, laidback place, that's what I remember.

Got plenty of elephants, there are 1/2day tours to the elephant camps, very interesting.

Chiang Mai is up in the hills.

Yes very laidback, friendly. If you want something different from the likes of Phuket, Bali, then Chiang Mai is the place to go.

Cheers ....

I'm not sure if it's fear of heights or rather fear of falling. :)

I have not so much trouble standing at big glass panels and looking down, but I have trouble leaning against those same panels.

I also have no trouble looking down from behind barriers on high buildings, but I have trouble looking OVER the barrier. :bsmilie:
