excellent example of time lapse

If we are to watch this time lapse over say 20 times, one will notice that if it is only one segment, the time lapse effect will be just quite ordinary, only when the many segment piece all together plus the music, then it will become something refreshing.

Just look at only one segment without sound, over and over and over ub the same segemnt.

of course la, it's going to be so short...

video is a whole different ball game from photography.

After doing some reading, time lapse does not seemed to be that hard. But does need a lot of patience. Find a spot and set camera to shoot at interval, then merge them into a video. Is there anything more to it?

What are the typical issues that people run into?

don't know. This seems like something I don't have the time and patience to do it. I mean if you are going to leave your camera somewhere for a day, even with the interval programmed, you will have to be there as well to make sure that someone don't come and take it away. Also the batteries will have to be constantly replaced at the rate the shutter moves.

If you are going to leave the camera to from day to night for time lapse, do you need to change the exposure or is this why HDR is used?
