Hi guys... Anyone know whether Benny still has new stock of R-D1xG?
I ought to clarify that Benny is a fellow rf enthusiast and doesn't run this commercially. It was a one off kind favour so please do not spam him with PMs about the rd1xg anymore.
Look up the website from Fujiya or Yodobashi if you're looking for a brand new rd1xg. thanks!
thanx for reply... btw, spamming is not my cup of tea and i know when to stop pm, only 2 follow-up pms sent at an interval of 3 days.
this is to clear the misunderstandings... so...
peace...
"spam" was probably too harsh a word... i take it back. Good luck with your search!
there is one set at benphoto today. $2100, IIRC.
i was actually more interested in the xpan beside it... haha... :bsmilie:
For that kind of money, you could get a Mamiya 6/7 with 80mm lens.hello nightwolf... yes, saw it some days ago... 1 R-D1 and 1 R-D1s both going at $2,100 but I am more interested in the R-D1x(G) because of the fixed screen... and the japanese brochures described the x as the better version in terms of the shutter release feel...
ya, I am also eyeing at that XpanII for a long time... it has been there for weeks... and it went MIA for a few days and back again recently few days ago... but at $3,800 with only the body, lens and hood it does seem a little steep on the price...

Hi guys... Anyone know whether Benny still has new stock of R-D1xG?
hi benny, no probs... cheers!Francis,
Thought I had replied your mail.
Just to clarify. I do not sell cameras or carry any stocks. I am not a commercial trader. I have received many PM about buying of the various models of R-D1, both new or used.
I do not help anyone except those I know to pick up these cameras as I'm not based in Singapore and do not want the hassles of being stuck with gear when folks change their mind, or are not happy with the condition of used gear.
Hope that clarify the situation for all.
As for servicing, I am able to help, time permitting and payment upfront.
Cheers,
yo bro!... i think that is coincident... nobody contacted me to sell that cam, but I did get 1 used set from Bellamy... great guy indeed!Well, if you can find a kit locally more power to you, but it seems that someone in Singapore is reading this thread and contacting Bellamy at Japan Camera Hunter | Hunting for the best classic cameras in Japan, all for you. because when I met him for a few beers a week ago he mentioned that he'd sent several R-D1xG kits to SG!
