EOS - M3

I can't comment, I haven't tried this lens. Still unsure whether to get it since I have a Tamron lens for this range. With the EF to EF-M adapter I don't see the point of getting every lens twice.
yeah makes sense. The size/weight of EFS long zoom plus adapter compared to EFM55-200 direct on M3 may not make much difference.

Is there a 3rd party len for this camera? 18-135mm or 18-200mm? and price? on like to change 2 len 18-55 to 50-200mm so ma fan....
Any advise?

Get a EF/EF-S to EF-M adapter, and u can use EF/EF-S mount lenses on the camera. So won't be so ma fan already.

18-135 lens on m3 will defeat the purpose of a compact system imho.

Yup .. There is an all-in-one from tamron. 18-200 f3.5 with VC. It's about $580 in JP. Regret not buying sigh and it's actually quite compact.

Do note that the Tamron 18-200mm is currently not working with the M3 until an update is available.

It looks like Tamron is aware of the issue. Here is a press release from their website:

Dear users and potential purchasers of the 18-200mm F/3.5-6.3 Di III VC (Model B011) for Canon (EOS M)

Thank you for your interest in Tamron’s lenses.

We have learned that the Tamron 18-200mm F/3.5-6.3 Di III VC (Model B011) for Canon (EOS M) does not function properly when used with the Canon EOS M3, which went on sale in Japan on March 26.

We sincerely apologize to all users and potential purchasers for any inconvenience the issue may cause.

An investigation is currently underway, and as soon as we know more we will post a notice on the Tamron website.

At the bottom of the link you shares, there is a list of third party lens for EOS-M, from different brands. Seems good. I wonder what are the other good lens to look out for.

Define $good.
All EF mount lenses can be used. Canon FD mount lenses can be used with adapter. Many third party lenses can be used with adapters and the resulting manual focus / manual aperture. Read the reviews of these lenses to see what they are capable of.

Actually there an update available but I don understand how Tamron website works....like Japan don talk to other country...and they want people to bring down to update and not download to DIY

SGD100 off from TK Photo for cash....it is printed on their label for all to see.....don't have to ask.

Has anyone tried to recover details and highlights? Pretty amazing. Was exploring with this EOS M3 coupled with 22mm. Great portability.

I just ordered one unit from Amazon Japan which was shipped and fulfilled promptly. A word of advice though, Tenso, is incredibly slow and they seem to check or reply to emails only once a day.

May i know where do u all buy the screen protector? Cos those shops that i asked, their screen protector only covers the touchscreen area, i.e. 3" only, and not the whole glass portion.

Thanks in advance.

I was looking for one as well, until I saw this

Canon didn't encourage the use of screen protector for the touch screen.
