Most chargers today are universal models who can use 120V as well as 230V. A physical adapter might be necessary due to different pin design. But I saw some extension cords here in Singapore with a more universal design that can accommodate Japanese pin design.Buying from Japan, is the charger adaptor compatible for Singapore? Japan is 120V... Anyone can advise?

Any 'lobang' on when the EOS M3 is going to arrive?
Still no news for SG? Btw is there sample at IT show Canon booth?
Heard coming in end Mar or early Apr.
Noticeably. Whether this is significant for you we can't tell. It also depends on what you intend to do / achieve. For stationary scenery and similar things I doubt that a slower AF will have any impact. Will using adaptor with ef lenses slows down AF significantly? ..

The contract AF system is slower due to the way it works. Another factor is the EF lens AF system: Micro motor? STM? USM?
Using M1 and EF adapter: With Sigma 10-20 I got focus hunting, something that never occured when used with 50D. The 40mm STM locks focus quickly.M2 didnt work well with Tamron but quite responsive with the canon lens. Not sure if M3 is improved.

The new adaptor have glass element and IS, wonder will it affect the crop magnification
got glass in the adapter? i tot it is nothing but air?
I suspect the contrast AF system of the M cameras works better with the STM lenses. The working principles match better. The same goes for phase detection AF and the EF lenses (Canon or 3rd party). It doesn't work well with my Sigma 8mm FE also. Canon lens seems to have better performance, especially those STM ones.
Finally the M3 has shipped from amazon jp. Hope it reach by next wed![]()
