Eos 7D ???

Sony has the financial arm to do anything they want. Just like PS3, they are willing to sell at a lost just to make sure HD-DVD die..... So Sony can create another super camera to try to kill of competition. So Canon, better sit up and listen!:sweatsm:

Canon use to be the brand with the most financial strength, but now Sony is the powerhouse! In the world of business....is who got money who win! Philip invented the DVD....but it is sony who capitalized on it and make money in their discman and etc. Having the money to brainwash people that Sony is the best brand.

no one knows which to support first.
so the first to get the majority user wins


dslr is diff. Canon and Nikon are already leading in DSLR way before Sony ships its first.
To topple canon and Nikon like how sony did for blu ray will sure drain sony into the reddest of red. Sony might as well buy over canon and nikon dslr business.

Will not be surprised if it happens anytime soon. Tough year for Nikon to get thru. Can expect more shake up in the near future, so Canon must be proactive.

It has been a tough year for Canon too leh... Some factories closed down and profits are down drastically.

I think it would be best canon release something as good as the nikon d300

The D300 is considered old tech already with the D90 and D300s IMHO. The XXD series currently don't compete very well with the Nikon DXXX series. I don't think the 40D-50D "upgrade" is huge with just more MP at nearly $1k more...
I seriously hope the possible "7D" will come out with a 5D sensor and D700 build quality and speed.

Most probably will be Japan website announce first.

Very confusing and mysterious specs if they are true...

Wow, dual DIGIC, dual slots, better AF and noise, and comparable video to 5D II.... makes 5D II really small....

I was thinking the specs fit the replacement for the 1D MkIII which is overdue. But the word "prosumer" kinda confuses me, cos 1D series are not a prosumer cams.

If true, it's disappointing.. my guess is such specs will come at a price of approx S$5000 which is worth a grab for those who need a 1D Mark III replacement but don't like the questionable AF and slow fps of the 5D Mark II.

What we want is a FF body to fill the gap between the 50D and 5D II at a cheaper price.
