EM5 qn - Shots lag like milli seconds after button click?

I think comng from Nikon and being new to Olympus, and particularly you have such high demands on the performance of this already high-performing camera which has features galore, I think u owe it to yourself to actually read the manual on the CD.....twice over. Otherwise, you will find that you are not utilizing the full potential of the camera. For me, I have owned and used more than 13 olympus cameras now. Even after so long, I have to honestly say that I probably only use up to about 60-70% of the camera's features. For eg. I dun use art filters, I dun utilize the 9fps, face detection, eye detection, etc etc. I find the camera plenty fast already for my needs so the 0.002s difference in speed, I dun actually feel it. Maybe to the speed aficionados, the best that Olympus can offer is still not as good as the Nikon D7000 for eg, but the EM5 is already too good for my needs already.

Yah...you should go read the manual....not the paper version but the pdf version.

Isn't that Olympus supply full printed manual in Asia? Or is it the TS got non-Asia OM-D?

I'm too lazy too so you'll either be waiting a long time or have to get used to the lag.

Yes... I am not complaining here about the OM-D, as I mentioned it is a GREAT camera. It is just that I do feel the same what TS had experienced with his OM-D. My personal "feeling", not experience, is that D7000 is the fastest, followed by GX1 then OM-D.... I might have "offended" some OM-D fans here, so sorry...
Just sharing my "feeling" to see if other do "feel" the same with this camera... if it is a bad camera, I would not have used it more often than my GX1... I think whats more important is the end result, lag I can deal with it by react 0.005 sec faster loh... cheers!

BTW, I had downloaded the PDF version in my computer, thanks for the tip!

Thanks for all the replies:) As a noobie down here i learnt a lot from you guys. Like some people said it may be a feeling thingy or the way i shoot and review my pictures after shots.

After a few tries, i able to turn off the preview, shooting a few frame of the shots that i want and preview everything once i'm done. However since i'm not good at getting the timing, i need a lot of practice on that. I tried an indoor shoot with people doing Taiko performance(Japanese drum) it is really hard to catch the image that i wanted..lol its either my shutter too slow to catch the "striking" pose and turn out to be blur. Or having fast shutter that turns out to be dark.. :p I need more practice lol

when shooting indoor, turn up the ISO or use the 25mmf1.4, you will get less blur shots...
