ok i'll try make a big crab from the snow and send back, but i think will melt by the time it reaches here leh :bsmilie:

I like the first shot. But I've never seen this butterfly so I'm not sure what its colour ought to be.

so which is your original shot? I'm not familiar with CLS.
I haven't been prowling amongst leaves and flowers for a while now but seeing your shoots make me think I ought to brave the cold winds and try my hand at insects again.

they are all original :bsmilie:

but i prefer the 3rd shot for the clarity as the dark background gives the pale subject more contrast

Nikon's Creative Lighting System is something like a portable flash setup consisting of multiple flash units. in this case only the built-in flash and SB800 is used, the former triggers the latter, which is placed at a more favourable/desirable postion ;)
 

eikin, your photos enable us to see things we won't normally see. really educational and eye-opener besides being really excellent shots. :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:
 

found the specie name at last, it should be Achaearanea veruculata according to this url
Wow...:bigeyes: really broaden my eye-sight...i only know it's a spider...;p
