dats great! glad that I bought this versatile lens today! can use for landscape/travels/portraits/group shots/models!
Sad. Im gonna put a rubber band on my 17-55 later ;p
Haha! 17-55 oso good wat. faster and got IS. It is actually an EF-S "L" lens in disguise. more ex than 17-40 F4L somemore. ;p
Its really a L in disguise, that I have no doubt. Just that the dust issue is killing me.
Now where is my rubber band. ;p
Was thinking that I prolly need the IS at the tele end. Also, weight between non-IS (1.56lbs/707g) and IS (1.7lbs/770g) doesn't seem much diff. :dunno:
800 bucks not worth for me.. i would rather to train to keep my hands steady![]()

Agree...too many ppl overreliance on IS technology liao....last time lens or body where got IS one? Train yourself to handhold with steady hands is better.800 bucks not worth for me.. i would rather to train to keep my hands steady![]()

of cos heavy, after holding it for hours shooting~~ ;p 40D not light also..
don't remind me. but a heavier camera does help when u going to shoot. breathing techniques, stance and hand held skills help as well.
definitely better to train for steady hands than spend so much for IS..
