EF 11-24 F/4L

Pretty much what I suspect it to be, not straightforward to use at the wide end.
I hazard to guess there will be people selling it off after playing awhile due to the weight and perspective distortion.
Any idea possible to try out this lens at the concept stores now that Canon showroom is no more? :think:


This lens coupled with the 5Ds/5DsR will be an awesome combo for timelapse for those sequences with lots of panning and zooming in post.

Almost every single recent lens from Canon is a home run whether it's a high end L lens or an entry grade EF-M lens.

Now, if only we can say the same for their imaging sensors...
 

Just picked up this beauty. 3 pieces only at Cathay all spoken for with a long waiting list.

I reserved mine the moment they announced it after picking up my DJI inspire 1.

First impressions, extremely heavy, but performed beautifully under extremely low light settings even with F4.

Canon's zoom trinity is finally completed after 13 long years of being in photography for me.

those shots tested in various focal length are straight out of camera or done with minor PP?
shot in JPEG or RAW?

I shot in RAW. For the shots of Lau Pat Sat (for vignetting test and focal length comparison), they are all straight out of the camera. No Photoshop retouching of any sort.
